Production Qualification for the Financial Advising and Investment Category

Eligibility for the NAIFA Quality Award in the Financial Advising and Investments category is based on either total assets under management or gross dealer concessions at the end of 2023. The award applicant may choose to apply using either the assets under management or the gross dealer concessions criteria. Qualifying totals for either criteria vary depending upon the number of years you have been in the industry:

Eligible Policies

In determining the amount of your assets under management, include the securities portfolios for which you provide continuous and regular supervisory or management services including annuities, bank deposits and mutual funds based on the current market value of the assets as determined within 90 days prior to this application. Determine market value using the same method you used to report account values to clients or to calculate fees for investment advisory services.

If you are qualifying using gross dealer concessions, you may disregard the above instructions concerning assets under management.

If you do not meet the qualifying levels of production criteria outlined above, it is possible to earn bonus credit for your qualifying production in other practice specialty categories, professional education and NAIFA service. See the Multiplier Bonus section below to determine your bonus credit.

NAIFA also recognizes the value of professional education and a commitment to serving your industry association and provides possible bonus credit for those achievements as well. If you produced at least 25 eligible life and health policies in 2022 with 80% persistency for 2023, multiply your overall assets under management total by 30%. Eligible policies: All Life Insurance policies are eligible with the exception of: Group and wholesale contracts Policy changes Weekly premium insurance No policy credit will be given for automatic policy increases that do not generate first-year commissions Partial conversion of term policies which result in two policies during the same award year counts as two policies 100% conversion of term policies which result in only one policy counts as one policy Individual Health Insurance Disability Income Insurance Long Term Care Insurance Critical Illness Insurance	If you currently hold any of the following degrees or designations, multiply your overall assets under management total by 10%.
